Warren Zevon fans have something special to look forward to this fall. A star-studded tribute concert honoring the late singer-songwriter is set to take place in Los Angeles on October 24, featuring a lineup that includes Jackson Browne, Marshall Crenshaw, Shooter Jennings, and Steve Wynn of The Dream Syndicate, among others.

A Benefit With Purpose and Star Power

This year’s Zevon tribute is part of the Wild Honey Foundation’s annual benefit concert, which raises money for autism-related causes and other nonprofit organizations. Past Wild Honey shows have honored legends like The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield, and The Band, featuring elaborate, note-perfect performances and surprise appearances by original band members or their descendants.

Jackson Browne and Zevon’s Inner Circle Join the Celebration

Jackson Browne—who co-produced Zevon’s landmark albums Warren Zevon (1976) and Excitable Boy (1978)—will be one of the headliners. Those records featured iconic songs like “Werewolves of London” and “Lawyers, Guns and Money.”

The show will also include appearances from Zevon’s longtime collaborators:

  • Jorge Calderon, his co-writer and producer, will perform.
  • Legendary session musicians Leland Sklar and Bob Glaub will be part of the backing band.

Additional confirmed performers include:

  • Inara George (The Bird and the Bee)
  • Eleni Mandell
  • Susan Cowsill
  • Phil Cody

More guest vocalists will be revealed in the months leading up to the show.

Wild Honey’s Signature Touch

The house band will be led by Rob Laufer and Jordan Summers, two Wild Honey regulars known for faithfully reproducing classic rock albums live. Their past tributes have earned a reputation for meticulous arrangements and marathon-length setlists. This year’s Zevon celebration promises more than 25 songs and could run up to three hours or longer, true to Wild Honey tradition.

Zevon Gets His Due

While smaller Zevon tributes have taken place since his passing in 2003 at age 56, this show marks the most extensive tribute yet to his unique and beloved songbook. In 2016, Judd Apatow hosted a tribute with performances by Browne, Jill Sobule, and Taylor Goldsmith, but this fall’s concert promises a deeper dive into his discography.

Supporting Meaningful Causes

Proceeds from the 2025 Wild Honey tribute will benefit two organizations:

  • Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO)
  • The Ed Asner Family Center, which supports individuals and families in the autism community.

Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime tribute to one of L.A.’s most unforgettable songwriters.
